FILMSTERS Academy is a summer program that offers young people the chance to get hands-on experience making short films. We have an 85% return rate of students, many of whom have attended for 4 or 5 years. Some of these students are now professionals in the film & television industry, while many more are at some of the top film schools in America. There are three levels of instruction: Beginners, Intermediate and the Advanced program. At every level, each child learns to pitch, write, direct, shoot and edit these films. Camp takes place every year during the first two weeks of August on the campus of Key School in Annapolis, Maryland (about 30 miles from both Baltimore and Washington).
